More details available as we get closer to the event date.
We are the largest and busiest Air Station in the Coast Guard. In addition to the local area, our Area of Operations includes the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean basin, and the Bahamas. We constantly maintain deployed H-60s for Operations Bahamas, Turks and Caicos (OPBAT), a joint DEA, Coast Guard, Bahamian Turks and Caicos anti-drug and migrant smuggling operation in the Bahamas. We also have C-130s deployed in support of Joint Interagency Task Force (JIATF) operations in the Caribbean. This is done while simultaneously maintaining a constant Bravo Zero Search and Rescue response at home in Florida.

Volunteers needed

Women in Aviation Tampa Bay Chapter has been invited to participate in a STEAM event at MacDill Air Force Base.

The goal of the Pathways to Success exhibits is to get students interested & inspired to pursue STEAM by providing an interactive activities/displays or other educational methods while highlight college, military, and other non-traditional pathways.

The event takes place April 22 and 23 from 10:00am - 1:30pm at MacDill Air Force Base.

We need volunteers for both days for the entire period.

Volunteers should be prepared to discuss careers in aviation, including their own path towards an aviation career. If you are available to represent your company in uniform and present for 15 minutes, please let us know that also.
